We are completely and fully back up 100%. Between Covid, Economy, the changes in industry and a few other issues we have fully returned. With our return we have changed many things in the background, but to sum it up same great service but at lower prices. I know what your thinking, impossible!!! It is possible and we did it! The 2021 Holiday Season is here! First I want to say, Please be safe and healthy. Get professional photos done. Yes News! Stuff!, well really did not know what to title this post so we will stick with News! Stuff!.

Ok its been a while since last post I apologize. Well here is some info. We have been affected by the economy like everyone else, but we are handling it a bit differently. We are investing in our clients and future clients buy lowering all of our product pricing, offering more, like discounts and specials. We will be at more shows and events as well.

We have a brand new HS Seniors program rolling out, better Holiday programs and packages, we have a great new program for young families, we also have made changes to website to better serve our customers. Hello out there! Hope this Blog Post finds you well. Just would like to let everyone know what's happening, we had our booth at this years Ormond Beach National Night Out and had lots of fun and talk with many folks. Also we are now proud members of the Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce and the St. Johns Chamber of Commerce. We still have the National and Local Adorable Child portrait contest going on. Many categories to win prizes. We are now offering Photography classes in many areas of photography from posing to lighting to photo walks.

This post is a short and sweet one. In closing i just want to stress to be careful out there.

This year we are participating in The Adorable National Children's Portrait Contest. We are also adding a Local element to the contest.

Their are many categories and Prizes. Grand Prize Winner is $1500! All the detail are under the Info tab of our website. It is free to enter contest. We can add a Image from any family or child portrait session. Their are 10 yes 10 categories. You can possibly enter into 4 categories. 

Categories are as followed:  0-6 Months, 7-12 Months, 13 Months -2 Years, 3-5 Years, 6-8 Years, 9-12 Years, Mommy or Daddy and Me, Buddies, Me and My Pet, Bloopers.

Like any contest their are rules. But the rules are simple for folks just harder for the photographer, as it should be. Photograph must be taken by Our Studio with the proper formats and Templates and summitted according to guidelines.( We take care of that part) Parent must sign and fill out a small form. That's pretty much it. The results are announced October 25, 2021.

Pictures, Prints and Photo Shoots! I would like to give a little information on the subject. An image is just something that becomes a Picture when it has a personal meaning to someone. Well that is the way we like to explain what the meaning of the words image and Picture. An image could be color corrected, edited, or Retouched it also can be used in graphic artistry. A Print is the most common  output of a Picture. Other forms of output are Social Media Images, and Wall Art. Now Wall Art can be Large Prints, Table top Prints, Canvas, Metal Prints, Wood Prints, Acrylics and so on. Wall Art is the best way to display your Pictures. Another way to display your Pictures is to have Albums and Photo Books. 

I would like to touch on the subject of Social Media Images. Social Media Images are a secondary way, of displaying your Pictures, by no means should it be the primary means of displaying your Pictures. Social Media Images are a complimentary addition to Wall Art, Prints or Albums or Photo Books. Social Media Images are still electronic images and can be lost in seconds. Please keep this in mind.

Now on to Photo Shoots, Photo Shoots bring this all together. But lets start with what a Photo shoot is; it is the process of deliberately taking Images for a purpose as opposed to candid form of taking Pictures, which is taking of images in nature settings without the need for posing, articulate or artistic changes. Please realize I am not addressing the subjects of equipment choice, camera settings, lens choice, shooting styles, etc. I enjoy a combination of candid and posed Photo shoots. 

Photography is truly a science and an Art. I feel you need both in every Photo Shoot!

                         Photography in todays world, well maybe not the whole world, but definitely the way we see it at (ARP) Anton Rivera Photography. The world did snap many pictures this past year. But I feel the pictures meant a little more then they did in the past. It just feels so much more important to get those pictures of loved ones. All of us have been impacted by Covid-19. I personally lost a few friends. I definitely feel it has brought many families together at least in some ways.

Now on to better days, the future. Business is picking up, people are going out. Things are happening. These words just seem to go together, "Holidays Santa and Family Pictures". For some its a hectic time, for others its all happiness and enjoyment. With the onset of covid-19 its a challenge for all.

For myself, as a photographer, I am starting to see the happiness in the faces of people. I just wonder how this season will be for Holidays Santa and Family Pictures. Some don't seem to mind that Santa is behind a plexiglass. We purchased a new Santa suit and Elf outfit and are still planning to do Santa Pictures. All by appointment since the onset of covid-19. We still plan on photographing Families. We feel Family Pictures are more important this year then any other in a long time.

Instead of Ho! Ho! Ho! its more like O! No! O! No! Relax! Breathe! and get the duct tape, only kidding! I know it can be stressful at times. But I wouldn't change a thing. I still enjoy seeing all the kids running around, dressed in holiday attire! Love that interaction between the kids and parents. Seeing families coming together, love watching all the lip biting! I am not going to bore you with do's and don'ts of family photography. I just want to say one thing, find the right photographer! Ok, Ok one more thing I want to say before I let you go, I know, I know but I have to say it or they won't let me do any more  blog posts!

Ok, Halloween is just around the corner, it is, might not feel like it, but its coming. I will personally make the best of it as I can. Never thought I would miss the old days of Halloween, kids coming to the door, looking at all the creative costumes. Talking with the kids, parents, it all will be missed. I am trying to muster the energy to wear my Harry Potter Talking Sorting Hat. Halloween is in the top three of my Holidays' list. With the onset of Covid-19 how we live, has changed drastically. I would like to touch on one of these big changes, Family. it is great we spend more time with family. But too many of us are forgetting to record these memories. These memories will be cherished by you, your children and family. So take pictures, and please, be in the pictures. Many of us in the family who take the pictures are not in them. Be in the picture. Get family pictures taken by a photographer. Get Wall Art, display your children, wife, HS Senior, your baby. Remember Professional Photographs, are not just for your viewing, it for your future generations, its for others to remember you and your family in the future. 

               Well its here October 2020, it has been pretty scary all year. But life must and has to go on. We have new strange norms in the united States and around the world. Pictures (Lifetime Images) are and always will be important part of our lives and an important part of our History. i am not just speaking of United States History or World History i am talking about our own Family History. Please remember Pictures are not just for our family and ourselves Now. Pictures (Lifetime Images) are for future generations of our families. Please keep this in mind when thinking about pictures and why take them. One more thing I would like to touch on and that is Physical portraits. More and more people only have electronic versions of there pictures, and I am so sorry to say more and more people are losing their pictures. Please get hard copies of your pictures. Especially of children, Grand Parents, and distant loved ones. 

Ok, Now for what have we did for you, portion of our Blog. We have actually lowered our prices, which we were able to do by bring down our operating cost and other cost saving measures. 

We have new Halloween / Fall Festival Backdrops and Scenes. We are also running a great Promotion of $25 Halloween Shoots. Also we will be having pictures with Santa Claus, Buddy the Elf and the Grinch this year with a Special of only $25 so everyone can afford a photo shoot.

Been a while, Lots of life changes for me personally not to mention the world! So the short version update. I am still alive! We Operate mainly in Florida. Serving Flagler, St. Johns, Duval, Volusia and surrounding counties. 

With the onset of Covid, we have strict protocols in place. Sanitizing has always been a top priority of yours, dealing with children and especially infants. We feel confident we take every precaution for our clients and ourselves.

With new technologies and streamlined procedures we have lowered our prices or at the least have kept them the same in the past 4 years. We have added new equipment, New Backdrops, New Lights. you get the picture. We are members of the Professional Photographers of America, Fully Insured, Incorporated and Background Checked.

Get your picture taken often, nothing is certain. Please remember pictures are not just for you but for other generations to know and remember you and our time on this planet.
